The stand-out titles are a remaster of 1943 named 1943 Kai and Eco Fighters, which is unique if not the most impressive shmup around. Shoot ’em ups feel like they have fallen by the wayside in this release. Sadly all the titles have seen re-releases before, and aside from Street Fighter 1 and Alpha 1 and 2, the other titles have online multiplayer elsewhere making these versions feel a little redundant. The Fighting games on offer here are fantastic aside from the curiosity that is the original Street Fighter. It just adds to the confusion of needing a separate launcher from the first title. The collection of games on offer in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium feels a little more “leftover” in some aspects when compared to the first. This can create quite a shallow experience for the fighting and brawling games if you haven’t a friend at hand. No title in this collection has Online Multiplayer, meaning this is a strictly local experience. What I mean by this is that all the games I’ve just listed off there already had re-releases recently with pretty much the same content sans Rewind Features, but instead including Online Multiplayer.

On top of that, the versions present in this collection aren’t quite the “definitive” versions. That’s 12 titles players may potentially own already. You can find quite a lot of them between the Capcom Beat Em Up Collection, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, and the recently released Capcom Fighting Collection, I’ve pointed out the titles below: What I do feel the need to point out and I’m sure fans of Capcom titles will have already noticed is how many of these titles are already available in previous collections. Again like the previous, the fighters make up the bulk of the list. Following on from their successful collection of re-releases last year, Capcom has once again opened the gates to the Stadium with Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. Street Fighter is just one of their vast library of past titles. Capcom is a name synonymous with arcade gaming culture.
